I just thought the historical perspective was interesting!Simon Greenhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14994361307494791932noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6819369948550238004.post-91999831408103401032009-10-22T22:37:40.890-07:002009-10-22T22:37:40.890-07:00I am not sure it makes entirely sense to compare m...I am not sure it makes entirely sense to compare micropolys + stochastic rasterization + a ton on visibility samples per pixel with plain rasterization + 4/8x MSAA.March1n0https://www.blogger.com/profile/17331580439544979907noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6819369948550238004.post-24859064186297620782009-10-21T19:20:43.631-07:002009-10-21T19:20:43.631-07:00From what I've heard toy-story 1 was rendered ...From what I've heard toy-story 1 was rendered at 1526x922 due to technological limitations of the time. The polygon count is 5-6M per frame.

Today's PCs can render more polygons per second at higher resolution without trouble. The textures also have details as sharp as could be distinguished for said resolutions.Sword Shttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03917233914487103614noreply@blogger.com
